Throwing shade or throwing light?
One takes a little more effort than the other.
While throwing shade might be more fun, it eventually runs out of energy. It’s designed to end conversations, not start them, to intimidate, not encourage.
Turning on lights helps everyone.

Part of your job is to bring meaning, not just to the beneficiaries of your organization’s mission but also to the people who contribute towards your meaningful outcomes.
It turns out when you consider what brings meaning and value to philanthropists – donors and volunteers – you do a more effective job creating abundance all around.
Use some of the resources in this week’s issue of the Clairity Click-it to help you on your journey. And to help your supporters on theirs. Whatever your role, you’ll find something in this issue to nourish you. So, start digging through the curated content from across the web. I hope it will make your job easier, and more fulfilling. SPECIAL FEATURE: News You Can Use
ALERT
Click-it: Without Consent: GoFundMe Creates Donation Pages. Last week, GoFundMe (GFM), the largest crowdfunding platform, created 1.4 million “donation pages” for U.S. nonprofits without consent or any contact with said nonprofits. if someone inadvertently lands on that site and decides to donate, Go Fund Me sets their “voluntary tip” at anywhere from 14-16.5%, in addition to charging a transaction fee of 2.2% to the receiving nonprofit PLUS a $.30 per donation charge. At best, this is confusing for the donor, who may unknowingly use that platform and for the nonprofit that doesn’t even know this page exists If you would like to claim your nonprofit’s page, and perhaps take it down, this may help.
