Learn about the elephant-sized piñata in the middle of the room. It’s filled with goodies you want and deserve! You’ve got to figure out how to get the goodies out of it or you’ll just be scrambling for spare change.

This article from Tina Jepson on the CauseVox blog shows you five ways to build and maintain your donors’ trust. Check it out to see which ones you’re doing well, and which ones you could improve.

Click-it: Building a 4-stage Online Ambassador Program — Stage 2: Engagement. Giving is about relationships! Your ambassadors have them, and your job is to get them to use them on your behalf. Click-it: 11 Facebook Tricks, Tips and Facts You Didn’t Know. This post from Entrepreneur will give you plenty of great stuff to help you get the most out of and better understand Facebook. From why you get shown certain ads and which types of posts get the most engagement, to how closely connected you are to everyone else on the planet and much more. I like #2 and #5. You?
Click-it: Opt-In Pop-Ups: Are They Any Good? A robust online social fundraising strategy requires you to have a strong and growing email list. If you’re not using a lightbox pop-up to encourage folks to sign up to your email list, this article by George Matthew on the Daily Egg may get you to reconsider. In some cases sign-ups increased as much as 1375%.
Click-it: Increase Online Donations In Four Steps. This article by Scott Paley on Joan Garry’s website is largely focused on building a more effective website. You might think, as a fundraiser, that this isn’t your territory. But you can’t have an effective online social fundraising strategy without a website as your dynamic hub. So check it out and see if you’re doing these four things well.
